temporary roof

Temporary roofs are almost an essential component of a major renovation or new build project. Temporary roofing provides protection against weather, dust, and noise on construction and industrial sites as well as public events. We have the right roofing product for every application, from the light weight cassette roof to the economical and versatile Keder roof and the sturdy Cassette roof, all of which can be erected by Cumiskey Scaffolding.

We can provide several different types of temporary roof covering. The most popular and cost effective temporary roof systems solution available is traditional corrugated roof sheeting. Like many other temporary roof structures, this type is compatible with the 450mm or 750mm alloy Layher or Haki beam system. Layher scaffolding beams are versatile and can be used to build many kinds of structures, including the support for a temporary roof. The same can be said for the Haki beam system. Both beams are reliable, robust and excellent as a temporary roof scaffolding framework.

Using the traditional system, we build the scaffold structure to the intended ridge height of the new roof. In doing this, we have to ensure that the alloy beams we use are of the correct span. We install them by using double couplers and tying tubes to the front and rear of the beams so that the span across and over the property is properly supported. When these are in place, we install purling tubes at the centres of the beams that will support the steel sheets.

Both of these temporary roofing solutions are suitable on particular projects, such as church and cathedral roof repairs and listed building renovations. We have a great deal of experience of providing temporary roofs for homeowners, trade firms and construction companies. Whatever your temporary roof requirements are, we can deliver quickly and effectively.

With roof refurbishment meticulous planning is required to ensure the project remains weather-tight. Often conventional scaffold structures are not suitable.
